ICAN Marbella 2012 Race Schedule Wednesday, 11th of April

  • 12:00: Press conference in Hotel Fuerte Marbella, Avenida el Fuerte, s/n. Marbella.

Friday, 13th of April

  • 13:00 to 21:00: Athlete´s Registration Hotel Fuerte , Marbella.
  • 10:00 to 20:00:  Merchandising sales Point in ICAN-Trishow zone. Puerto Banús. Avenida de las Naciones Unidas (boxes)
  • 10:00 to 20:00: ICAN-Trishow fair in Puerto Banús. Avenida de las Naciones Unidas (boxes).
  • 16:00 to 17:00 : Bus service to check bike course to Ojén. Only by request at customer@icantriathlon.com
  • 16:00 to 19:00: Swim Course open for practise.Wardrobe tent in Transition Area for triathletes.
  • 19:00 to 22:00: Pasta Party in Hotel Fuerte , Marbella.

Saturday, 14th of April

  • 08:00 to 18:00: Swim Course open for practise. Wardrobe in Info-tent in Transition Area.
  • 08:00  to 9:00: Bus service to check bike course (motorway). Only by request at customer@icantriathlon.com
  • 09:30 Bike course guide by Jaime Menedez de Luarca from Hotel Fuerte Marbella
  • 10:00 to 19:00: Athlete´s Registration at Hotel Fuerte , Marbella. Avenida del Fuerte s/n 
  • 10:00 to 20:00:  ICAN Merchandising sales Point in ICAN-Trishow area. Puerto Banús. Avenida de las Naciones Unidas (boxes)
  • 10:00 to 20:00: ICAN-Trishow fair. Puerto Banús. Avenida de las Naciones Unidas (boxes)
  • 13:00 and 15:30: Athlete Briefing (athlete attendance is mandatory) :

-       13:00 in English- –       13:45 in German – -        14:30 in Spanish  belt number from 1 to 400 –        15:00 in Spanish belt number from 401 to 850 –        15:30 ICAN62 Briefing

  • 14:30 to 20:00: Athlete Bike and Bike/Run gear check-in , at Transition Area , Puerto Banús, Avenida de las Naciones Unidas.
  • 14:15 BUS transport from Hotel Fuerte Miramar to Boxes (Puerto Banús)

Sunday, 15th of April

  • 05:30 . Breakfast opens at Fuerte Hotels.
  • 05:40 to 07:10: Transfer from Fuerte Miramar Hotel to Puerto Banús el Corte Ingles (shoping Hall), every 10 minutes. Acredited companions, free transportation.
  • 06:00: Transition Area opens for athlete check-in , numbering and wardrobe tent.
  • 06:00-13:00: Bike mechanic service. At Transition Area and Bike Course.
  • 07:00-17:00: Tri-Nursery opens.
  • 07:00-17:00: Medical services.
  • 07:45: Closing of Transition Area and wardrobe tent for HALF ICAN triathletes.
  • 08:45: Athletes proceed to Half ICAN start at the beach.
  • 08:00: START OF HALF ICAN Marbella 2012.
  • 08:00: Closing of Transition Area and wardrobe tent ICAN62.
  • 08:15: Athletes proceed to ICAN62 start at the beach.
  • 08:30: START OF ICAN62 Marbella 2012.
  • 10:40: Estimated time of arrival of  ICAN62 winner.
  • 11:00 to 16:30: ICAN family lounge. Place where athletes and acredited guests can enjoy the best post-competitive environment with food and drink. The food and beverage service will be opened at 11:00 hours.
  • 11:00-16:30. Massage service at finish area.
  • 11:00 to 16:30: ICAN Family Lounge. Triathlete meeting place wher they can have a drink and rest with their families.
  • 12:00: Estimated time of arrival of Half ICAN winner.
  • 13:30 to 18:00: Transfer Boxes El Corte Inglés-Hotel-Boxes (minibus), every 20´ (from  El corte Ingles Shoppinh Hall).
  • 13:30 to 16:30: Bikes Check-out. Bikes must be out of transition area by 16:45h.
  • 16:00: Race Cut-off. Race limit is 8 hours.
  • 16:30-: Awards Ceremony Ican Marbella 2012. Awards will not be sent by post.

  • 08:00: Race Start , HALF ICAN .
  • 08:23: First athlete Swim finish , HALF ICAN.
  • 08:30: Race Start , ICAN62 .
  • 08:52: First athlete Swim finish ,ICAN62 .
  • 09:00: Swim cut-off , HALF ICAN.
  • 09:30: Swim cut-off , ICAN62.
  • 10:05: First athlete Bike finish , ICAN62.
  • 10:30: First athlete Bike finish,  HALF ICAN.
  • 10:40 (approx): First men finisher, ICAN62 .
  • 11:00(approx) : First female finisher , ICAN 62.
  • 13:30: Bike cut-off , HALF ICAN bike course. No bikes will be allowed on course beyond 13:30.
  • 12:00 (approx): First men finisher, HALF ICAN .
  • 16:00: Race finished .
